Kananga Water is a cologne based on a foundation of the essential oil of Ylang Ylang (also known as Cananga odorata). Plantations for producing kananga water were established by the British in Jamaica in the 19th century.
 
Kananga Water is used magickally in rituals of home protection and spiritual cleaning, to scent bowls of water set out for the spirits of the dead, as scrying water, and for other ritual and cosmetic purposes. This water makes a lovely perfume, either for yourself or for your favorite deity or ancestor!
